What makes it Awesome?
Smooth and indulgent we're not like the rest
Complete amino acid profile from rice and pea protein
22g of protein per 109kcal serving
Let’s be honest, most vegan protein powders are grainy, pretty tasteless, and generally a bit of a let-down, not Awesome Vegan Protein: the 2019 ‘best protein’ award winner in the Functional Sports Nutrition awards. You may have seen the reviews online, if not, please do check them out as our plant-based protein is far from the norm. We’ve worked extremely hard to ensure the flavour is rich, the texture is smooth, the mixability is effortless, and the standard is set!
Awesome Plant Power
Protein and amino acids are super important in all our diets and protein powders are a real help, but plant-focused eaters have historically suffered from a lack of choice. We often recommend consuming between 1.5-2g of protein per KG of body weight, and if someone isn’t hitting this a protein powder can be a great way to make things far easier…unless you dread drinking it that is!
Awesome Vegan protein powder is made with a methodically developed ratio of rice & pea protein, meaning we have achieved a smooth texture and a complete amino acid profile, then we rounded it off with an award-winning flavour profile to help make meeting your protein needs a pleasure. And the best bit? Its still only 70p per serving!
What flavour should you choose? Here is a quick run-down of each of your options:
Chocolate Salted Caramel: Our #1 selling product site wide. Rich in taste, fairly sweet, a little salty, and very rich in flavour. Great as a shake, in smoothies, or porridge and cake recipes.
Choc & Nut: Moderately sweet, nice milk chocolate taste, dense peanut flavour, versatile in shakes, cooking and smoothies.
Chocolate Orange: Rich milk chocolate taste, bitter orange flavour, pretty high on the sweetness, great in porridge bowls, cooking where orange compliments the dish, and smoothies.
Vanilla: Sweet but not overpowering to enhance the vanilla flavour, versatile in all applications, a good base flavour for varied use in smoothies, cooking and porridge bowls.

Vegan Protein Sources
Protein is essential for human health, recovery and physical development. A protein supplement is used to supplement a diet for an increased need for protein, or to hit a minimum daily need for protein. Protein supplementation is supported by the research to do just this. Do you need protein shakes if you want to build muscle?
Maybe. A few key questions are important here, such as do you have enough protein in your diet already? Could a protein shake help you meet your needs, or tie you over at breakfast time when you want something quick or after the gym, so you don’t crack and recovery quicker? Do you want a protein shake because it’s cheaper than whole food protein and cost is an issue for you? Could a protein powder be a useful baking ingredient to add to your pantry? All plausible reasons to choose a shake and have it handy for when its needed/wanted. So, it’s like the above scenario, it’s not that anything is needed per se, it’s a case of can it be beneficial for you and your goals. And weighing up your options and situation only you will be able to answer that. But if not, we’ll help. If you’re unsure reach out to us and we’ll help.
(FYI a good protein target to aim for when building muscle is 1.6-2.2g per KG of body weight, so if you were 80kg and looking to build muscle you might aim for 160g of protein per day split up into your meals and snacks).
I’ve tried many vegan protein powders before and they were all grainy and didn’t taste great, why should I try yours?
This is the exact reason we developed Awesome Vegan Protein: because there were no options that tasted nice, and we believed it didn’t have to be this way. We worked hard to get rid of the grainy pea texture and made them taste awesome, and we think we really nailed it. Check out our customer reviews to see what other customers think!
Does the vegan protein have a complete amino acid profile?
Yes. We achieved this by combining pea and rice protein.
Does the vegan protein help weight gain?
While vegan protein is a fantastic source of protein which is necessary for tissue growth and repair, each serving is low in carbohydrate and fat, thus low in calories on it’s own. Blending it with high calorie foods like nut butters and oats is a fantastic way to bump up your daily calorie intake and help gain weight. Liquid calories are less filling than solid food-sourced calories, and so drinking a high calorie smoothie is the perfect weight-gain tool for those with a lower appetite. Overall it can help, of course, but please ensure your overall calorie intake is set up correctly for optimal results
Why do serving sizes differ between flavours?
In order to keep our vegan protein as smooth as possible, avoiding the grainy texture so commonly found in these products, we need to add an ingredient to ‘fill the gaps’ between each grain of pea protein. While two of our flavours use cocoa for this, the vanilla can’t, and so we added a small amount of carbohydrate powder to do the same job. This takes up a little bit of space in the tub and so to get the same protein serving, a little more powder is needed.
Are the number of servings the same with each flavour?
Chocolate Salted Caramel, Choc & Nut and Mixed Berries provide 40 servings per tub. Vanilla has 34.
Am I able to use this while pregnant?
Yes there is no reason you can’t make up some of your protein intake using Awesome Vegan protein during pregnancy, unless your doctor has advised otherwise.
Is the sweetener sucralose safe?
Currently the full body of evidence for the safety of sucralose indicates that it is perfectly safe to consume. Customers regularly ask why not use stevia? This is because stevia, in our opinion, tastes awful, and that’s not what we want! Some individuals with IBS can get irritation from some sweeteners, so be mindful if this is you. Click the following link to read the most up to date research on sucralose.
Can this help me lose fat?
This product is high in protein (so it helps promote satiety) and is low calorie. No supplement can cause weight loss on its own, but this product can certainly help you achieve the calorie deficit necessary to reach that goal.
What is the benefit of vegan protein over whey protein?
While there is no general benefit over whey protein which will apply to everyone, Awesome Vegan Protein offers an additional choice without compromising quality. This means that those sensitive to dairy, or those following a plant-based diet which excludes dairy, can enjoy a great product with awesome flavour and a complete amino acid profile.
Can I cook with it?
Awesome Vegan Protein is perfectly safe for cooking. Neither the protein content or the flavour will be negatively affected
Do I use milk or water? How much?
Your use of milk, milk substitute, or water, and the precise amount, is individual. We recommend you stick to 200-400ml of liquid per serving, and do pay attention to the additional calories if you opt for something other than water. Milk or milk substitute will provide an improved flavour, water will reduce calories – the decision is yours, but we designed ALL of our protein powders to taste awesome with water, so don’t think you need to use milk to make our products taste good, you don’t. When we designed and tested our flavours our aim was always to make it taste awesome with water.
Is Awesome Vegan Protein vegan friendly?
Yes, it’s also gluten and dairy free.
Enjoy our smooth, vegan protein powder as part of a varied diet to boost your protein intake
