• Randomised controlled trials using collagen (typically 2.5-10g daily) have shown improvements in skin elasticity, hydration and wrinkle depth over 8-12 weeks compared with placebo. (Proksch et al.)
• Human studies using low molecular weight collagen peptides
  have explored doses as low as 1g per day over periods of 6-12 weeks, showing improvements in markers of skin hydration and elasticity compared with placebo (the type of collagen we use in Awesome Collagen).

Joint comfort and connective tissue

• Collagen is also a key structural component of cartilage, tendons and ligaments, all of which are placed under regular stress through training and daily movement.
