We created Awesome Protein from a place of love for protein powders, but for a disdain of all the options available out there - especially when it came to vegan protein powders. Why couldn’t a plant based protein taste AWESOME, and be low sugar, made with organic protein, have a full amino acid profile, mix easily, and be versatile in its use? Everything we tried didn’t hit the mark in all areas, so we set out to create THE WORLD'S BEST protein, whether it be vegan or not. And after winning 5 awards for its taste, and it being our #1 selling product, I think we’ve succeeded. Question is, which flavour will you choose?
The OG is our Chocolate Salted Caramel, it’s our #1 selling flavour.
CHOCOLATE SALTED CARAMEL: A deep rich dark chocolate flavour protein with undertonesof caramel and a touch of salt. Once mixed its light to moderate on thickness and fairly sweet.
VANILLA: A well balanced, moderate thickness, smooth tasting, natural vanilla flavour with a subtle sweetness whenmade as a shake.
CHOC & NUT: A smooth milk chocolate flavour that’s moderately sweet, with a rounded natural peanut flavour. Light to moderate thickness when made as a shake.
CHOCOLATE ORANGE: A sweet and rich milk chocolate base with zesty orange flavour that’s light to moderate in thickness when madeas a shake.
CARAMELISED BISCUIT: A rich caramel biscuit flavour with subtle hints of warming spices (cinnamon and nutmeg). Once mixed, it is moderate in sweetness and thin to moderate in texture as a shake.

Yes, there is no reason you can’t make up some of your protein intake using Awesome Protein during pregnancy/breastfeeding, unless your doctor has advised otherwise.
Ah, the million dollar question. Let us try persuade you. See many vegan and plant based protein powers are often grainy in texutre, overly expensive, and poor tasting. This is the exact reason we developed Awesome Protein: because we felt there were no options that tasted AWESOME, and we believed it didn’t have to be this way. We worked hard to get rid of the grainy pea texture and made it taste awesome, brought through just the right amount of sweetness, and made it taste truly indulgent and enjoyable. And we think we've really nailed it. This is why its a multi-award winning product at the FSN and Nourish Awards, and has been featured in The Independant, The Telegraph, Daily Mail and The Sun. Check out our customer reviews to see what other customers think!
While there is no general benefit over whey protein which will apply to everyone, Awesome Protein (which is plant based) offers an additional choice without compromising quality. This means that those sensitive to dairy, or those following a plant-based diet which excludes dairy, can enjoy a great product with awesome flavour and a complete amino acid profile. We created one protein powder with the aim of anyone being able to enjoy it. Hence this is our only protein powder, and its plant based, and 100% AWESOME.
Maybe. A few key questions are important here, primarily: do you have enough protein in your diet already? Could a protein shake help you meet your needs, or tide you over at breakfast time or after the gym when you want something quick? Do you want a protein shake because it’s cheaper than whole food protein? Could a protein powder be a useful baking ingredient to add to your pantry? All plausible reasons to choose a shake and have it handy for when its needed/wanted. As we always suggest, the question isn’t “is this product useful” its “is this product useful for me, in my situation, with my goals?”.
*A good protein target to aim for when very active and/or building muscle is 1.6-2.2g per KG of body weight, so if you were 80kg and looking to build muscle you might aim for 160g of protein per day, split up into your meals and snacks. And having a protein powder makes it far easier to hit a protein goal like this.
While our protein powder is a fantastic source of protein, which is necessary for tissue growth and repair, each serving is low in carbohydrate and fat, thus low in calories on its own. Blending it with high calorie foods like nut butters and oats is a fantastic way to bump up your daily calorie intake and help you gain weight. Liquid calories are less filling than solid food calories, and so drinking a high calorie smoothie is the perfect weight-gain tool for those with a lower appetite. Overall, it can help, of course, but please ensure your overall calorie intake is set up correctly for optimal results, and you are eating a balanced diet.
This product is high in protein (so it helps promote satiety) and is low calorie. No supplement can cause weight loss on its own, but this product can certainly help you achieve the calorie deficit necessary to reach that goal, but it is not a weight loss product no (which we don't sell any of, because we don't agree with this line of thinking - weight loss should come from healthy nutrition, exercise and lifestyle change).
Awesome Protein is perfectly safe and AWESOME for cooking. Neither the protein content nor the flavour will be negatively affected. It's actually, behind being used as a shake, the primary thing people do with our protein, because it makes recipes taste so good. Check out our recipe section for inspiration.
Your use of milk, milk substitute, or water, and the precise amount, is individual. We recommend you stick to 200-400ml of liquid per serving, and do pay attention to the additional calories if you opt for something other than water. Milk or milk substitute will provide an improved flavour, water will reduce calories – the decision is yours, but we designed ALL of our protein powders to taste awesome with water, so don’t think you need to use milk to make our products taste good, you don’t.
Yes. We achieved this by combining organic pea and rice protein.
Yes, they do, but only about 4.5mg of caffeine, approximately 1/5 of the amount needed to affect a caffeine sensitive person. So, in short, its a negligible amount and shouldn’t affect your mood or sleep in any way.
Currently the full body of evidence for the safety of sucralose indicates that it is perfectly safe to consume. Customers regularly ask why not use stevia? This is because stevia, in our opinion, tastes awful, and that’s not what we want! Some individuals with IBS can get irritation from some sweeteners, so be mindful if this is you. Click the following link to read the most up to date research on sucralose from Examine.com
Our beech scoops have been made a little smaller than we would have liked. Therefore, we recommend that you use a heaped scoop for Awesome Protein. Should you want to ensure your serving is precise, we recommend you weigh it out.
